Fonts appearing bold when a transparent image is on the page

Whenever I apply a transparent image (such as a PNG), all the text turns bold on that page/spread. The issue seems to only occur when it is used on a page with a Parent Page. The only current workaround I have to this is to use SVGs, however, it doesn't have the same effect that I want. 

 

Below is an example of how the text becomes bold once I apply a transparent image (an image without transparency works just fine and won't result in the same issue).

I have seen other threads discussing this issue, some including all the information about this bug I just

provided, others are just part of it.

 

I hope this bug gets fixed quickly since I am illustrating a book and I anticipate using a lot of transparent images.

    The bolding efect on the text is because it is being outlined as part of the transparency flattening. To prevent this put the text on a layer above the transparent image.

    If you don't want the text to show over  the image, use text wrap.

      Hello, I appreciate the feedback, however, I don't think this is the issue in my case. When I first discovered this issue, I initially had the image on a layer below the text and I still had this issue. To make sure I tested it once again, and the order of the layers doesn't seem to be the issue. 

      Using transparent images doesn't affect the text as long as I avoid using master pages, this issue only happens when I apply them. Which is what is leading me to believe this is a bug.
