Hello,

in InDesign 2019 on Windows 10 1903 the font GilSans are not shown in new documents.

I tried:

-installing the font by logged in user and just click install or install it for all users with admin rights. also tried it with the firewall turned off and disabled the blocking untrusted fonts feature

-copied it by hand to the windows and InDesign font folder

-every point of https://helpx.adobe.com/de/x-productkb/global/troubleshoot-unexpected-behavior-user-account.html

The only way to see the font is do create a subfolder called Document fonts in the document folder. On another Computer the same font is always displayed in Indesign. Also the company which sent us documents is working with the same font.

I chatted with support and he has no idea too. He want me to set up this entrie on the forum.

Thanks in advanced.

Using a font management utility is usually the best way to make sure that fonts are open and available for all programs on your computer. These programs ensure that frequently used fonts are always open and available for every program. They can also be set up to automatically open fonts when a document that needs them is opened.
