Fonts.: Know what I'm sick of?

Fonts.: Know what I'm sick of? Logging into my computer at work, opening an InDesign doc from Adobe Creative Cloud and finding that all the fonts in my document are not found. Then having to log out, go to Adobe Fonts online, deactivate them, and then reactivate them, and then re-open my document in InDesign.
Very embarrasing when trying to show a client where I'm at with their project. THEN... going to my other PC and logging in there and having to do the whole process all over again!
This has been an issue for AGES! When are Adobe going to fix it???  WHEN???
😠

Are you using a single CC account on both machines, and is there a reason why you are logging out of the account? Why not leave both machines always logged in, and save the InDesign documents and assets into your Creative Cloud Files folder? All files saved into that folder get sync’d to the cloud, and the local Creative Cloud Files folders. I work that way and don’t have any problems with Adobe Fonts because they remain sync’d on both machines.

Does this happen to your Adobe fonts (aka, Typekit)?

Or to traditional fonts that are installed on your computer and don't turn on/off unless you remove them yourself?

Personally, I grew tired on the same problem and stopped using Adobe fonts altogether, except for my permanent library of fonts that I purchased and installed.

To my type kit. It uses OTF fonts, whereas TTF fonts are also installed on one of my PCs... which makes no difference to them not being recognised until I perform the above ritual - Adobe does not recognise that they are essentially the same and some are actually different. I have tried deactivating them in my type kit only and using the windows installed font equivalents... alas, of the 18 fonts I use in the Poppins kit for example, InDesign only recognises 3 of them from the Windows fonts if I disable the font kit. I'd love to just use the Windows fonts but my organisation's style guide requires we use Poppins... regardless of this, Adobe needs to fix this long term bug.

Seriously, Adobe - PLEASE fix this issue.

Loaded up my project on my office PC just now and all my Poppins fonts are 'missing'... close down InDesign, go to My Adobe Fonts, deactivate them all, reactivat them and the re-open the project... surely someone there has the brains and time to fix this???!!!!  😠
