Fonts repeatedly deactivating

I notice file syncing is often hung in a perpetually spinning blue circle as well - not sure if that is related. No amount of pausing /un-pausing sync does anything that I can see. 

If I look at the Adobe Cloud the font in question (Poppins) is active. I can deactivate and re-activate all day, and nothing changes in my apps.  In Indesign, it is perpetually attempting to load the font:

After a while, it seems to fix itself for some time and I can quickly export my work.  Then randomly bugs out again.

 

This is killing productivity!

I was jabbing at Adobe Fonts Web and it was not helping.

...oddly it's missing only 8 of the 18 Poppins fonts.

This time the fix was to open Adobe Fonts in Creative Cloud Desktop and not online. Poppens then activated and all was well again...for now...
