Frequent crashes: ID CC Arabic on Mac OS Catalina or previous, on a 16 inch Macbook Pro

During the past year or so using ID CC Arabic on Mac OS Catalina or previous, on a 16 inch Macbook Pro with plenty of Ram and disc space, I've been getting frequent crashes. Seems random. Sometimes on open, sometimes it might be a font issue, sometimes just moving the cursor, sometimes for no apparent reason at all. Adobe support has not been able to help. Has anyone had a similar experience and or found what the problem might be and the solution.
