Full Stop (.) Replaced by Percentage (%)

Hi

In InDesign CS6

In Arabic, whenever I add fullstop or period at the end of the line, it shows as %.

I use font Rubik, and it works on all vesrions perfectly except InDesign.

 

If you faced this problem on any version, please share solution.

Hi Dears, 

Yes, I'm facing the same issue with InDesign 2023 (18.1) & 2024 (19.5.1)  
the full-stop in Arabic fonts shows/replaced as % (Percent Sign), Any advice, Please?

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience! Would you mind confirming the following details?

 - Are you using the MENA version of InDesign or the regular version?

 - Which operating system are you working on (e.g., Windows or macOS), and its version?

 - Which input language keyboard are you using?

 - Can you turn on the on-screen keyboard and check if pressing the full stop key is actually pressing the % key due to the input language?

 - Could you check if the issue persists on InDesign version 20.0.1?

It is working on both Windows and Mac on our end, as expected. If the issue persists, sharing a screen recording of your workflow would also help us better understand the problem.

Hi @Abhishek Rao , I'm using a macOS (11.7.10 ) BigSur, & Unfortunately, MacBookPro is not eligible for any advance updates, for both Adobe-Indesign (20) and even for the latest MacOS, 

I have tested the same issue on some other machines, some of the older versions of Indesign are facing the same issue, while one of my friends has the AdobeInDesign v 20, and he didn't face this issue!

Not sure if this is font issue/feature or InDesigns. Does this happen with all the document or just a particular InDesign document? What if the same font is used within another version of InDesign?
