How can I craeate text out of my own icons?

Check out FontSelf at https://www.fontself.com/

It works with Illustrator and Photoshop; it's inexpensive ($39 US for AI, $59 or both); it's relatively easy to use; and can create your own font. Then use a character style (possibly automatec with GREP styles) in InDesign.
