Google font not rendering correctly in InDesign

I've installed Source Serif 4 from Google Fonts, initially I installed the variable version but when I saw that it wasn't rendering correctly I installed the static 18pt version as well. However it still isn't rendering as it appears on Google Fonts:

I tried to uninstall the variable version but can't find it in my fonts folders (not using a font manager) so no idea where that might be installed.

Obviously i've done some googling but can't find anything obvious to help.

Any ideas?
