Graphic rulers and frame graphics have changed

Opened up new 2024 InDesign, major screwball changes in formatting the page layout framing panels. The rulers and all the associated graphic panels and menu items is seemingly 20% larger in scale--like its really gross and oversized now. I have a 3 year old Imac running OS 12.5.1

Anyone having similar problems?

I can change the manual scale function of the 27" Imac display to finer resolution setting and which providse a potential solve by reducing the scaling by perhaps 10-15% smaller, but it also changes all the programs scaling which is not an ideal solution.

I am wondering if InDesign changed the scaling function on the frame graphics to be more legible on laptop screens.

Love to get some thoughts.

Does any one know if Adobe has a link to complain about this?

Ok I am answering my own question within minutes of probing further (how bizarre is that).  Went to INDD Preference control panel and found an entry I have never seen before called User Interface Scaling and see that the default size is set and then there are smaller incremental options on a slider scale.  I never saw this menu item before.  Setting it now to 'Small' has solved the problem on restart. Maybe its been there before and/or maybe Adobe changed the defaults to a bigger setting.  Anyway, case closed.
