Hello everybody!

I would like to know how to apply the gray scale effect in images in indesign. I didn't find any resource to do this. Always I want to do it I necessarily have to open the Illustrator and make it through it to send to Indesign.

Someone knows if Indesign has this tool?

Well, strictly speaking, "grayscale" isn't an "effect," it's a color space. And no, InDesign has no feature for converting an image to the grayscale color space. Photoshop is the correct tool for that.

I agree with handling this in Photoshop, but there is a plug-in that you can try for InDesign. If you like it, you can purchase it for about US$ 60.

First of All, Sorry for being repetitive and thanks so much in advance, but I really need some help.
I'm doing a job for a black and white newspaper. How do I change the image to black and white? I need to send it to print and it must be black and white. How can I do it? They use CMYK. As I see, its not possible on the INDESIGN, but I couldnt find the way in PHOTOSHOP.

There are more artful techniques for desaturating an image than simply converting, but to simply convert: with the image open in Photoshop, choose Image > Mode > Grayscale.
