Hi,

I made Grimm Folder with Package Book for Print.

There are two kinds of Chapter01.indd.

If I want to add one more paragraph, which one should I open (green one or orange one)?

I think this depends on what the intent is here. If the book is ready to send to print except for this one addition, I would edit the file in the package folder and send it. Editing the original file will require re-packaging before sendoff.

Packaging for backup might be a good habit, but I think it creates a lot of unnecessary duplication of unmodified files each time and prefer to backup the componenet files individually.

You open the one from the Book Panel.

Always open files from within the Book Panel.

Once you save it you'll know which one was updated by the modification date of the file.

Then backup the other one just in case.

Hi @Hosun26059267k946:

The files in the Grimms' Fairy Tales-2 folder look to be the original files: the book file (grimm.indb), the cover (cover.indd) the table of contents (TOC.indd), and the two chapter files (plus the .txt files).

Then it looks like you put the package (the Grimm folder) in the same folder as the original files, which is very confusing, to say the least. I would compress it and move it somewhere else to function as a back-up, in case you need it, and continue working on the original files. Packaging as a way of archiving on a regular basis is a great idea, but consider putting it on a cloud drive (or thumb drive or network drive) so that you can locate it if you need it, instead of leaving it in the project folder.

The orange one is the one in the GRIMM folder...
