Grey boxes appear over text in InDesign

Hello all,

Text is covered with grey boxes on this specific page of my document. Other pages of the same document look fine. Also, when I export the document to a PDF all looks good, the grey boxes do not show. FYI paragraph border/shading is off. Thank you so much for your thoughts. Alexa

Hi @alexam34312234 ,

zoom in. What do you see? Text is rendered fine?

My guess is that you are seeing "Greeked Text". A feature, not a bug, you can control in InDesign's Preferences.

Go to Preferences > Display Performance and set the value for greeking text to 0.
