Hebrew language not properly converted Indesign to ePub

Hi All,

I have an InDesign document that contains multiple languages (English and Hebrew). However, when converting the InDesign file to ePub, the Hebrew content appears in reverse order in the exported ePub file.

I’ve attached both the InDesign document and the ePub file for your reference.

Could anyone please guide me on how to achieve the correct output in the exported ePub file.

Hi @Manid@SRMI,

Sorry to hear about the issue with the Hebrew text appearing reversed in your exported ePub. Could you please confirm which version of InDesign and operating system you're using? Also, let me know if you’re using the Middle Eastern version of InDesign, which can be installed by following these steps: Find and install Hebrew or Arabic editions of InDesign or Illustrator.

When exporting, ensure the Right-to-Left (RTL) text direction is applied in the Paragraph panel and that Adobe World-Ready Composer is selected for the Hebrew text. Then try exporting again using File > Export > EPUB (Reflowable) and check if it appears correctly.

If possible, please share screenshots showing how the text appears in InDesign versus the exported ePub so I can review this further.

Looking forward to your update.

Abhishek
