Could you please explain the steps for this? @rob day

1. Should the AI document be in RGB or CMYK, or just the shape or colour in CMYK?

2. Should the ID document be in RGB or CMYK before copying the icon / shape?
4. ?
5. ?

Illustrator has a single document color mode, while InDesign allows a mix of CMYK, RGB, and Lab color modes on the same page. Set you AI doc’s color mode to CMYK:

When you paste into InDesign, there should be an imported Gradient Swatch in your Swatches panel. Edit the gradient swatch stops to the desired RGB colors:

Hi @K-Ten , Looks like your Transparecy Blend Space is set to CMYK. Set it to RGB if you want to preview the full RGB color gamut.

Also, make sure Overprint Preview and Proof Colors are turned off

Do you have colors / swatches with the same names in InDesign?

What is the color model and values?

What is color profile assigned to your document in InDesign?

What platform, OS and software versions?

It's just the gradient colors that changing. Solid colours remain the same.

Only this setting works for me for the proper gradients, but the colours are non-editable after this.

Same colour profiles in both. AI & ID

My ID settings:

@K-Ten

Why are you copy&pasting - you should rather Place and Link?
