Help: Inset spacing issue

Question

Hi,

I am having issues with inset spacing and my text boxes within Indesign 2024. There is a small space between the left edge of my text box and the beginning of my font.

I have all inset spacing set to 0, there are not settings in paragraph style, I have checked for hidden characters. Is this maybe something to do with the font? ...when I am trying to align different text boxes with different sized text they do not actually align because the spacing at the start of the text box is different.

Grateful for any advice. Including screenshots of issue, text framing settings and paragraph style.

The padding around the letters is built into the font

You could try the Optical Margin Alignment to get it closer to the text frame edge https://www.myfonts.com/pages/fontscom-learning-fyti-using-type-tools-optical-margin-alignment-in-indesign

And for the space at the top - you could try setting the First Baseline to Fixed or another setting and adjusting it so its snug.

But it's basically down to the font.
