Question

Help me identify this object

I inherited a book in Indesign to finish the project.  There are these "quotes marks in green" on some pages (see attachment).  They are not linked graphics and I can't highlight them as text.  Please identify and help me to change the color of the quote marks.

Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Michael

Use the white Direct Selection tool to click on the edge of the quote mark shape. Then you can stroke or fill recolor it with a choice from the Swatches or Color panel.

Could be a pasted graphic. Are you able to select the individual quotes using the Direct Select tool?

They might be outlined text. To colour them, if they are anchored, you may need to Cut and Paste them.

Can you share this file?

What is selected? TextFrame or those quotes?

If you move selected object - will they separate?
