Help With Tagging Text Stories

Question

I am currently trying to tag a text frame , with different attributes. I believe this requires me modifying the xml data in the document. I have a UIDRef of the text frame and not sure how to go about attaching the extra xml attributes. If any one knows of any examples of this that would surely help.

I finnaly got the text story tagged, but I noticed that if you delete the object it seems the xml still remains, and its also in the structure view in indesign.
I was wondering if anyone knew of a way that the xml would cleanup automatically, and a way that would make xml tags oblivious to the user.
