Hi everyone / Dear Adobe Support Team,

I am a long-time Adobe Creative Cloud subscriber and a digital publisher specializing in ancient history and mythology projects. I have a massive archive of interactive educational materials built over the years using ActionScript 2.0 (AS2) and InDesign-to-SWF workflows. Due to the recent hardware upgrade to an Apple Silicon (M3) Mac, I am struggling to maintain my workflow. As you know, modern versions of InDesign have removed the 'Export to Flash Player (SWF)' feature, and modern Animate versions no longer support AS2. To keep my historical archives alive and to continue my work on my journals (Kallistes Art and MythoAnarkhia), I urgently need official installer links for: InDesign CC 2019 (v14.0.3) - The last version supporting SWF Export. Flash Professional CS6 or CC 2014 - The last versions with stable AS2 support. I am a verified paid subscriber. Is there any 'ProDesignTools' official archive or a direct legacy installer link you can provide for macOS? These projects represent years of academic and artistic work that I cannot afford to lose. Thank you for your understanding and help."

Hi @Trygaios , Is this just for archiving old .swfs? Seems unlikely that you will find much of an audience—SWFs will not run in the latest versions of any major web browsers.

Hello, I am not developing for use in a web browser. I am developing an application using the Harman AIR SDK together with Animate and ActionScript 3. I have several magazines, and I needed to be able to export them from InDesign as SWF files, because I have the ability to use those SWFs within that application. As for Flash Pro, I need it in order to access the code of projects I previously developed in ActionScript 2. By examining those projects, my aim is to recode the same work in ActionScript 3 and make it usable again. If you have any suggestions, I am ready to listen. I had also hoped that by sharing this idea with Adobe Chat, they would be able to provide some guidance. Thank you very much.

Realized after my post that Flash Player is a 16-bit app (Flash Builder is not)

If you have any suggestions

Not sure if this helps, Visual Studio Code (which I use for writing ExtendScript) has an ActionScript MXML plugin, which is a replacement for Flash Builder:

There's no official way to download anything older than the 2025 versions. You can try to contact Adobe support and explain to them your situation. In some cases, they do provide links to older versions, but don't count on it. (Sometimes Adobe employees even chime in here to address certain requests, but this is not a rule.)

Thanks :)) I can't get past the virtual assistant. It keeps asking the same things over and over again. Not long ago I was meeting directly with a real person, now I don't know why.
