Hidden Pages Showing in TOC Despite Being Excluded

I have a TOC that does not exclude a hidden spread. When exporting, the page numbers adjust automatically (as expoected), but prior to export, when updating the TOC, the hidden spread/pages are still showing in the TOC and the pages are not renumberd as the export will produce...?

 

Seems to be a bug, or am I missing something?

Having the same problem: the heading from the hidden page still shows in the TOC.

While the hidden spreads feature was significantly improved in v20 — the only direction it could go, given the very basic, undercooked nature of the first version — it's still not entirely reliable as a way to remodel documents for print and export.
