After installing Indesign 2025 20.0 I tried share for review again with hidden spreads, unfortunately they are still exporte tot the share for review environment.

Please give an option to exclude hidden spreads for share for review.

Hi @Bernard Kaminski,

Thanks for following up. I understand how frustrating it can be when hidden spreads still show up in your review export. At this time there isn't a built-in setting in InDesign to exclude hidden spreads from Share for Review. The review feature will always package every spread, whether or not it's hidden in your layout.

As a workaround, you can remove or move the spreads you don't want to share onto a separate layer or into a temporary copy of your document before exporting. Simply delete or hide those spreads in that copy, then run Share for Review on the trimmed document. This will ensure only the spreads you want are included.

I understand that this functionality is important to you, and I apologize for its unavailability at this time. Would you mind creating a UserVoice for this feature request (https://adobe.ly/3G1NQ81)? Adding your comments there will help us prioritize this request, and you'll be notified of any updates.

Let me know if that helps or if you run into any other issues. I'm happy to keep looking into it!

We're now almost into 2026. Is there any resolve for this? It's a really fast way to upset or confuse a client.

Hello @dirkb96078594,

Thank you for reaching out! Could you please provide the details of your operating system?

As for the issue you’re experiencing with hidden spreads appearing in the Share for Review export, currently, InDesign includes all spreads in the review file, even if they are hidden. Unfortunately, there isn’t a built-in option yet to exclude hidden spreads specifically for Share for Review.

As a workaround, you may consider creating a new document or layer without the hidden spreads you don't want to share, then use Share for Review on that modified document. Alternatively, you could hide specific content from stakeholders by using other layers or pages.

For more details on using Share for Review and any future updates Adobe may add, please refer to this link: [Share for Review in InDesign]

Let me know if you have further questions or need additional help!

Best,

Abhishek Rao
