Question

Hoping to use ID CC on my Macbook

I've just updated my system software on my MacBook Pro (MacBook Pro, Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) to what Apple is saying is the latest update I can have on this computer (OS X El Capitan 10.11.6). I wanted to download Adobe INDD for use on the laptop when I'm not at my office, but the download is telling me I have to have 10.13, 10.14, or 10.15. Really? I didn't think my MacBook was that old that I can't update the system enough to use ID CC on it.

Any thoughts from all you experts? Here's a little more info on my MacBook Pro:

Processor Name: Intel Core i5

Processor Speed: 2.7 GHz

Number of Processors: 1

Total Number of Cores: 2

L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB

L3 Cache: 3 MB

Memory: 8 GB

Did you ask at the Apple forum? My old 2013 MacBook Pro is running 10.15.3 (2.6 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB).

What is saying you cannot install later systems such as  Sierra, exactly?

Doesn't sound right. That may be the latest 10.11 update but there's no way that machine is frozen at 10.11.

If I were you however, I'd max out the RAM. That machine has to take more than 8GB. InDesign 2020 recommendation is 16GB.
