How can I auto fill a multi-page pdf into an Indesign file with multiple boxes per page

You could even do bleed and add trim marks within the slug area you can define with Page Setup.

To get individual bleed around every page in the spread use the Page Tool to move the pages.

From my German InDesign:

Export spreads with slug and bleed enabled.

Hi Ron,

how about doing 50 spreads with 8 pages each in InDesign and place one single PDF page to every single InDesign page? You could export spreads to PDF when done.

Setting this up took my less than 5 minutes.

Note: You can duplicate spreads in the Pages panel.

What you need is 8 pages in the first spread and the Page Tool to arrange the pages.

And you have to start with a non-facing pages document.

Automatically placing PDF pages, each page to an InDesign page, can be done by a script you may have heard of:

You are looking for an imposition solution. There are a few companies that sell software that plugs in to Indesign, specifically Imposition Software http://impositionsoftware.com/ and Quite Imposing  http://www.quite.com/imposing/
