Yes, it is called a Primary Text Frame, and it is a check box when you create a new document.

I'm afraid you're going to have to supply much more information on what you want to accomplish here.

Okay so I have an indesign document

I have a master page, with all my nice headers and footers

All my pages in my document have the same master

All my pages have two columns of text boxes, all identical throughout the document

is there any way every time I add a new page a text box will automatically appear, rather than me having to create a new one?

If you need more info just ask
