How can I restore my decades-old account?

Can I recover my old forum account under the name David W Goodrich? Over the decades I've contributed useful information on various technical issues -- CJK, footnotes, metadata -- but now my attempts to login usually get ignored; occasionally I see a message saying the account was deleted or banned. To my knowledge neither is true, and even if they were I believe Adobe was supposed to send an e-mail explanation, which I have not received. After long discussion on-line Adobe's general help told me to create a new Community account with a different e-mail to log in and ask the Community -- and I cannot use my old name. Can someone help me?

It seems to me that the Account, Payment, & Plan forum deals with Adobe Account issues, and I've spent hours over the past two days trying to resolve my problems logging into Adobe Community, that is to say, not my Adobe account. When I finally connected with a human over at Adobe help, they eventually said my issue was a matter to be addressed by Adobe Community moderator experts, who could take 24-48 hours to respond; they suggested instead that I create a new forum account so I could log in there and find more direct access to moderators. They then closed my Adobe Customer Care case (I can provide the Case No.). I chose the ID forum because that is where I made most of my contributions.

The only reason I suggested it was because one uses ones Adobe account to log into the forums. All one’s history is connected to that account. Was a long shot anyway…

I try to login but before I can finish typing my email the screen changes to the top level. Only occasionally do I get a red bar that says account deleted or banned. This happens over days with different browsers on 2 different computers and an Android tablet. I can view, but I cannot log in.

Beats me. At the time I posted I had no issues, but when I checked the next day I could not log in. I tried to include URL links in both my attempted posts that day, both looked okay and I may well have included both in posts years ago (one was to the Kahrel JSX, the other was to BableMap).
