How do I autofill text on a 300 page document?

I have my grandpa's journal that I want to design on InDesign and its 300+ pages. I know how to do text threading and auto fill by clicking in the corner of each page, but is there a shorter way to autofill the entire document with text blocks with out having to click on each page?

Assuming it’s a Word doc, use file place, browse to the document and then Shift+Click the first page of your InDesign document.

And make sure you select Primary Text Frame when you set up your document.

Beware: OR use Shift-click (the old method, and not the best one when dealing with several Master pages) OR use the Primary Text frame. If you use AND the Primary text frame AND shift-click you will end up with a double set of text frames on your page!
