How do I increase the gap between the title and the text?

You can either increase soace after for the first paragraph - or space before for the second paragraph.

But you should do it in the ParaStyles applied - not as a local formatting. 

Increase leading or Space after. This is so basic, may I suggest you buy a book or training to learn the very basics of InDesign?

In the paragraph style for the title increase the value for the space after.
