How do I limit active buttons to one at a time?

So I have a document with roughly 30 buttons per page (Multi State "pop ups") and want to limit the page to only show one at a time. Currently I am able to click on each one and they will pop up on top of each other. Is there a way to limit this to just one at a time? Or if there is an active button open, when a new one is prompted, the old one closes.

Thank you!

You just create one MSO with a lot of different states. I've done them with upwards of 80 states.

Much more efficient than what you're trying to do here.

If it's PDF it won't work at all with MSOs. If it's EPUB, I strongly suggest doing it as one very large MSO instead of the confusing mess of so many of them on a page. It's almost impossible to manage this way.

The output is EPUB with the intentions of being able to be used on mobile devices and regular computers. I am not sure how I would convey all of the different images here with just one MSO.
