Well, my solution is —
- Put text in a text frame.
- Center text vertically.
- Apply text shading as desired.
- Skew text box 10 degrees.
- Skew text -10 degrees.
- Tweak shading offsets individually to achieve desired overall balance.
So I guess that qualifies as "using paragraph shading." 🙂
AFAIK — and I fully cop Dave may know something here I don't — there is no way to apply this skew to a running paragraph, using borders, shading or any other integral style.
That's pretty much the "cheat" I used.
The text frame would have to be pasted into the main text flow as an anchored frame for it to flow with the text. A bit of a PIA...
Also, I did not see Skew in the Object style settings so the skew would need to be done by hand. (Unless I missed it.)
