How do I make paragraph shading skewed?

Question

I'm making a paragraph style for headings in a document, and I'm trying to find a way to make the paragraph shading behind the header skewed/non-rectangular. Like a parallelogram, where the top and bottom are parallel to the text but the left and right sides are tilted in one direction. Is there any way to do that?

Well, my solution is —Put text in a text frame.Center text vertically.Apply text shading as desired.Skew text box 10 degrees.Skew text -10 degrees.Tweak shading offsets individually to achieve desired overall balance. So I guess that qualifies as "using paragraph shading." &#128578; AFAIK — and I fully cop Dave may know something here I don't — there is no way to apply this skew to a running paragraph, using borders, shading or any other integral style.That's pretty much the "cheat" I used.The text frame would have to be pasted into the main text flow as an anchored frame for it to flow with the text. A bit of a PIA...Also, I did not see Skew in the Object style settings so the skew would need to be done by hand. (Unless I missed it.)
