How do I make the Context Bar go away, even when I click "Hide Context Bar" doesn't work?

I’m trying to hide the context bar in InDesign and nothing seems to work. I click on “•••” and select “Hide Context Bar” but that does nothing. I’ve tried going under Window and unchecking “Contextual Task Bar”, and it will not uncheck. I’ve tried looking up tutorials but they all say to do what I have already tried.

Am I missing a setting that forcing me to use the context bar?

Edit: This forum for some reason is not letting me upload PNG nor JPG screenshots for some reason.

Solved it, Had to uninstall and reinstall InDesign. Then it let me remove it.

    Hi Michael,

That sometimes happens to me, too. I usually go to the Window dropdown menu to turn it off and hide it. Currently, that works for me.

Clear the InDesign cache. UI issues are solved by doing that quite often.

Nope, that didn’t work. That cleared out all my other windows and it’s still forcing me to use the context bar.
