How do I resize an image AND container in indesign?
Good day to all.
I am trying to punch in an exact measurement for an image into the control panel at the top of my InDesign window, but only the image container resizes when I do. This is a problem because I deep etched the image using the pen tool, as I need to remove the background of the product I am placing. Is there some way to lock the container and the image while using the control panes to resize images? Otherwise, I need to type in "(X)mm" into the width and height, and then I need to slowly adjust the image to fit the new container dimensions that it is inside. I am doing a product catalogue and this way of doing it is severely slowing my workflow.
And, on an unrelated note, I can't seem to adjust any of the character or paragraph adjustments with my scroll wheel. In Illustrator I can adjust these with great accuracy with my scroll wheel, especially if I hold the CMD key, I can tick my scroll wheel up and down and make leading and tracking adjustments (for example) down to the first decimal point. In Indesign, the tracking only adjusts in increments of 10! This means I need to manually punch in the digits to fine-tune these adjustments. This is also hugely inefficient for me. Is there settings that I am overlooking here?
Thanks in advance!
