How do I use the beta feature to convert PDFs to InDesign files?

I'm currently using version 20.4, which has the feature,
and I thought that simply dragging a PDF would activate the feature,
but nothing happens when I drag it. Do I need to activate it separately?

Could it be that it doesn't work because it's the Korean version?

No, when I go to File > Open, the PDF file doesn't appear, and I have to select All Files to see it. Is it possible that the file isn't supported and the function isn't working?

As far as I understand, it means that PDF conversion isn't supported in your version. I don't know if that's because it's the Korean version. Maybe others - or Adobe reps - can provide more info on this.

After changing the account language setting to English and reinstalling, it works. Thank you.

@Laitlyn25 What are your InDesign and operating system versions? Also, what are the exact steps you perform?

@Laitlyn25 Yes, definitely update to the latest version of InDesign 2025.

By now I don’t remember when exactly the option to open PDFs was implemented in beta and when it made it into the release version. If you have any issues after updating, let us know and we’ll take it from there.
