How do you take cited sources for a bibliography from word into indesign page and format it

Hello, how are you doing today? I was wondering if anybody can help me out figure out this problem I have having. What I am trying to figure out and understand is how do I take my bibilography sources links that have citations in my word document into my indesign document? I am trying to format it so it has indents and looks how you would see it in books. I am creating a presentation in Indesign. Is there any tools or features in indesign that would help me to format my text so it looks good? Also, would I need to place my word document into my Indesign file? I have only done this once before and don't have much experience in this. Any info would be greatly appricated to me on the steps I need to do to format my text on the page.

If you do a File > Place, choose the Word docx, and then click on Show Import Options, you will be shown an additional dialog box where you can choose which parts of the word doc to leave in or leave out.

Dressing and decorating the look of text is done by means of paragraph styles. Paragraph styles applied to all text in your presentation is the vital key to understanding InDesign. You will make paragraph styles for the citations in your bibliography too.

If you used paragraph styles in the word doc, you would match them up to InDesign paragraph styles in the Show Import Options dialog box.
