How do you warp text like photoshop?

Usually I create my banners such as "New Product" in photoshop that I'm able to manipulate (spherize, pinch, liquify, etc...).   Am I wrong in thinking I shoud at least be able to bend the text slightly? "Text warp" seems like it's only for keeping objects away from other objects, not a tool for bending the actual text.

    That's text WRAP, not warp.

ID doesn't have a warping feature, per se, but you can do some interesting stuff with type on a path (double-click the type on a path tool to get alignment options), and of course you can do all sorts of editing to type converted to outlines. You may want to set this type in Photoshop or Illustrator, then place it in ID.

ahhh, good point, ...yes it is.

    I'm dyslexic at times

Thanks... Is there a good tutorial on the path tool and/or what can be done with type outlining as you suggested?
