Hi All,

In my HTML5 extension I need to show the UI  which looks like the 'InDesign Pages panel' where thumbnail of each page will appear as shown in below attachment

Is there exist a direct API which gives me the thumbnails of all pages of an active document? Or I need to manually export the each page with low res.

Regards,

Alam

ok but it will make process slow if document size is too large Is there exist any other alternative way to make thumbnails fast.

1. Create a PDF and use something like ImageMagick to create bitmaps from this.

2. A couple of years ago, I wrote a Windows executable to extract the Bridge previews out of (older) InDesign's XML metadata. See Re: Need native InDesign file viewer for Windows . Then you still need to resize them – but there are lots of tools to do that (including aforementioned ImageMagick). No idea if it will work on newer files, though. If it does not work, you can examine the new XML format, though.
