How many columns and rows of CSV file can be imported in InDesign via Data Merge?

Hello, I wonder How many columns can indesign handle when doing data merge

 

i have an excel file which has 560 rows and 62 columns,

 

I want to use it with data merge function for repeated document...

 

anybody knows? please, help me~

I found the reason. Column name having special characters doesn't be allowed in data merging..

for example column name having (-)  or (/) caused problem.  

 

after replacing those characters to (_) underbar... it was successful.

This amount of data should be fine.

 

Just be aware that the more data you put in a file, the larger it is going to be and more unwieldy it will become.

Hi YoungMin,

 

Thanks for reaching out. There is no limit specified to import data in InDesign, however, it may take more time to import such huge data or if the file size is more than 1GB.
