How to achieve Page Transitions within InDesign to export to Interactive PDF?

Hi, Adobe community. Does anyone know how you can achieve a simple page transition within Indesign to then export to an Interactive PDF to work? I have the latest software installed and when I go through the Interactive / Page Transitions function within Indesign and then export it as a PDF the function does not work. My Indesign file does have other 'go to' buttons, 'reveal' buttons and hyperlinks, etc but all I want is a simple fade or push page transition. Any advice and help would be much appreciated. I am Mac opposed to PC.

Those transitions will only work if the PDF is exported as and iPDF and displayed in only Acrobat and in Acrobat full screen mode. So all these conditions have to be met. And remember: Old Flash transitions like the infamous 'page curl' are not supported.

After applying the page transtitions, you can export the document to .epub instead of PDF to have the page transition effects.

Hi Willi and Frans, thanks for your response. When you say iPDF do you mean an interactive PDF or is that a specific suffix you are referring to. I am currently saving as an Interavtive PDF (.pdf).

Yes, they do mean Interactive PDF.

Alternatively, have a look at InDesign's Publish Online facility or possibly in5 an InDesign plug-in (at extra cost). https://ajarproductions.com

You have to export to PDF Interactive or to Publish Online to make it work.
