Question

How to Add Section Title and Subtitle on Every Page in InDesign

Hello,

I’ve added section markers to title each section but i need to add a subtitle as well that also appears on every page of the section, I’m not able to add another section marker with text. I tried using a running header or defining my own variable text but I can’t figure out how to use it, I’m not sure if the issue is that I’m doing it all in one document instead of a book?

Some help would be very appreciated!

Thanks :)

Can you use a Section Prefix, perhaps for the Title, and the Section Marker for the Subtitle?

So if I understand your post, you have:

    • Section markers,
    • Titles, and
    • Subtitles.

How often (page count) does each of those change?

For example, Sections cover 100 pages, Titles and Subtitles change every 10.

Are you trying to automate the insertion of the above?
