How to Adjust Offset When Duplicating Objects in InDesign

Up until recently (and I'm not sure when the upodate may have changed things) when I duplicated an object the new copy appeared slightly right and down from the original.... now this is appearing right at the bottom of the pasteboard and way over to the right - I'm guessing it would go further right if there was more vertical pasteboard available...

There must be a way to set the offset for the duplicate function - but I can't find it!

Any pointers most welcome
