How to Align text perfectly to a baseline grid?

I’m working on a multi-page document and want consistent line spacing across all text frames and pages. I’ve enabled the baseline grid, but some paragraphs don’t align correctly. What settings should I check in paragraph styles, preferences, or document setup to ensure everything snaps properly to the grid?

Hi Tom,

Baseline Grid Alignment involves 3 things:

1. Visit Preferences > Grid > Baseline Grid and define the leading (spacing) of the grid and where it starts relative to page/margin

2. Visit View > Grids and Guides > Show Baseline Grid

3: Edit any Paragraph Styles Options > Indents and Spacing > Align to Grid > All Lines (usually). This will cause this paragraph style to lock on to the grid that you defined in step 1 and viewed in step 2. This will be done to a styles that control the main body text of the layout.
