How to 'anchor'(?) table to bottom/left corner of page?

Hi.. new do InDesign... what I want to do is position the bottom/left corner such that it is 0.25" up and 0.25" from the edge of the bottom/left corner of the page.  I also want the table to be exactly 2" wide.. columns evenly spaced.  I assume it would be similar to if I needed to position a page number in the bottom corner somehow?

I'm sure what I need is a good reference related to positioning elements.. but thus far, stumbling around the UI is not intuitive... any tips?

Thanks!

You could use the Text Frame Option’s Inset Spacing:

Hi @DoYouLikeHam , It doesn’t sound like you want the table to be anchored and flowing with text right?

If you want it to be permanently positioned in the lower left corner of the page, you can create a 2" wide text frame with its Text Frame Options Align set to Bottom:

Then Insert Table and the default width will fill the text frame:

Thx.. hadn't see the 'Text Frame Options' before.. was looking all over for something along those lines...

related question.. is there a way to specify the Y distance relative the the bottom (0.25") instead of having to compute it based on the page height?

A table is anchored in a paragraph. Orientation where it is the paragraph rientation.

Vertical alignment is defined in the hosting text frame, best saved in an object style.
