How to Apply Multiple Paragraph Styles to a Single Paragraph Using Conditions in InDesign?

Is it possible to apply two different paragraph style to one paragraph using two separate conditions? I'd like to use one style for printing, and another for exporting to ePub.

You mean different formatting?

You have two options:

1) build proper BasedOn styles tree - then change BasedOn for the top one - export for print then change again and export ePUB,

2) create two Books - with different Master Document - source for the Styles.

In this case - rather no need for scripting - unless you need to re-format something else and / or process multiple files in bulk.

Or use alternative layouts. Link the text and graphics, format each layout as desired.

Yes, it has been mentioned already in this thread - but it would require a lot of extra work  and is rather necessary when different / alternate CONTENTS is needed - OP just need different FORMATTING?

You are trying to control the paragraph style with a condition tag? No. Condition tags merely control the visibility of the selected text. You can't assign a paragraph style via a condition tag using InDesign's standard feature set.

Scripting does extend InDesign's feature set, so that may be a possibility. It's just not my area of expertise.

Alternate Layouts may be helpful in this use case.

You might asign a paragraph sryle to one text and another style to another paragraph. In the one condition the one paragraph is not visible with the other condition the other paragraph switches to its viisibility/invisibility. I think this might be the result you want.

No, conditional text is strictly content related, not style.

You will have to copy and paste the text, apply the style and condition to separate paragraphs, and hide/show them as needed.

Have you looked at alternative layouts? You can link the graphics and text but style independently.
