How to Change Ruler Tick Marks

I set up a new document and changed the measurement units from the default picas to inches, which is what I wanted for this 8.5-inch x 11-inch page. My horizontal and vertical rulers now show the page sized correctly, but the tick marks are displayed in increments of two (0-2-4-6-8-...etc.). I want to show them in increments of one (1-2-3-4-...). How do I make this change?

And you may have to set to Decimal inches as well.

It certainly changed the tick marks but not the displayed numbers. Zooming in works. Thanks for the response anyway. I appreciate it.

Or increase your display resolution/display size. My MacBook shows each individual inch mark at Fit Page in Window view.

This doesn't work on my HP, but zooming in does. Thanks for the response anyway. I appreciate it.

Hi Joe-New-to-InDesign (love your user name!):

Yes, it's dependent on your display (monitor) size and available resolutions—that's all I was trying to point out. Those of us who do this work for a living end up often end up with 1 (or several) large, high-definition displays because we need the space and detail to see what we are doing.
