So, I need to create a slideshow in Indesign. The problem is, the pictures are from a fashion show I need the slideshow to display 100+.
Is there a way to add that much images without having to create the slideshow the same way I would if I had only 10 pictures
(creating the place holder, adding the corresponding numbers of place holders etc...)

Do I need to create 100+ "place holders" or can I just add them without the "place holders"
Hi Jessica, I use "Gridify" to place multiple photos, and make the frames exactly the same size.
1. File > Place
2. select all 100 photos and click OK
3. click and drag on your page, and DON'T release the mouse... hit the up arrow key on your keyboard 9 times, then the right arrow key 9 times. That will give you a 10 x 10 gird of photos. Resize as needed, then release the mouse.
4. Keep photots all selected and choose the two CENTER align buttons in the Align panel or at the top. Now all 100 photos are sitting on top of each other.
5. Keep them selected (or marquee around them if they are not) and hold the Command / Shift (mac) or CTRL/shift (win) and pull one cornrs to resize them to desired size. Both frames and photos will resize.
6. You may have to choose Object > Fitting > Fill Content Proportionally.
Now, proceed with above suggestions about creating a MSO (select photos, go to the Window > Interactive > Object States panel and click on the new button at the bottom right. )
Make a button to control the forward and backward advance and set the button to Go To Next State.
