How to delete random space between footnote number and footnote text in InDesign?

Hi,

When I transfer Word file to Indesign, it adds this space between the footnote number and the footnote text. How can I delete this space?

In this situation, InDesign is adding the tab character and Word is adding the space. An easy solution is to search for a tab followed by a space and replace with nothing.
