How to Download Online Published Document

The hard drive on my computer recently crashed, and I lost a lot of files. Before it crashed, I managed to publish one inDesign file online. I am able to access it in the Publish Online Dashboard, but I was wondering if there is a way to download and edit it. Thanks.

Your only hope would be if you chose to allow users to download a PDF of the project when you published it. This would give you a PDF version of your project with a few more options than none, but it's still not the InDesign document and still not ideal.

This post is seven years old and has been asked and answered. I'm locking it to avoid any further confusion. Anyone with new issues should create a new discussion which will get far more attention.

Workaround - I suggest open the doc, save each page as an image and then compile all of them in a new PDF... good luck.

The solution is to reupload the doc and enable download in the publish wizard in INDD.

Adobe PLEASE offer the option to download Indd and PDF from the admin console and minimally have a toggle to turn on/off PDF downloads. it's silly not to.

    I have a similar problem.
The original Indesign file is crashed and I can't open it anymore. I published it in advance with Publish-Online, but forgot to enable the pdf download option.
Is there a way to enable this afterwards or is there a different way to get the pdf file?

No. And this should prove to be a painful lesson in making backups.
