How to Fix Header Image Issues Between Master Pages A and B in InDesign

Question

Hi!I'm working on a novel and I'm having trouble with the header image (It's for print only).  Basically what I'm trying to do is that the first page of the chapter has the blue waves on top. I put them Master Page B so when it has the specific Master Page (in this case B) are the ones that is suppose to have the wave. However, the wave design continues to the next page when it isn't suppose to (which is assign to A).
 
Does this mean I have put the design on regular pages instead of Master's?

It looks as if your blue-wave design is a single graphic spanning both "B" pages. The result will be exactly what you're getting — assigning B to either of a facing page pair will result in the graphic across both pages.

Split the graphic so that it is separate elements on each Parent page of the B set. You may want to tweak it so that the design is centered on the page split, so that it will mesh when needed.

I assume you want a facing page set so that you can start a chapter on either a left or right page. Put me down as preferring books, even novels, in which chapters always start on a right-hand (recto) page. 🙂
