How to Flip Baseline Guidelines for Horizontal Book Layout in InDesign

Alright so i short, i need to make a tiny book and i want in to be laying horozontally, and i want the book to open from the longest side (so the top or bottom) to do this i make the pages be in protraid mode and then in the document it self i fliped the 90 degrees, but in doing that i didnt flip the base guidline. is there a way to do this so the baseline isnt horizonal (when i didnt flip the pages) but vertical so when i flip the pages it lays horizontal? please i need help fast!

Hi @Mizukiiiix ,

or you could use a document without facing pages in landscape mode where two pages are with every spread.

The pages could be arranged free (moved together like you want) with the Page tool.

 

 

To move pages from one spread to another, disable "Allow Document Pages To Shuffle".

I don't think it's feasible for more than 10-20 pages book...

Hi @Robert at ID-Tasker ,

if one starts from scratch, one could do one single spread first.

Then duplicate the selected spread. Third step: duplicate all two spreads, then duplicate all four spreads and so on.

Done in two minutes…

You can set Baseline for each TextFrame independently:

 

 

Of course you can use Object Style for that.
