Question

How to get inline objects, there's not the same size, align top?

I have one text box with 3 inlined objects in it. From the start all 3 inlined objects have the same size (height).

Then I merge some data in my inlined objects and the inlined objects do not have the same height anymore. They seems to align bottom, but I want them to align top.

My inlined objects have this “Anchored objects options”:

Is there a way to keep them as inlined objects, but where they align to top instead of bottom?
It’s not an option for me to use the align tool, because it’s inlined objects.

Another option you might look at is the Span Columns feature in Paragraph or Paragraph Styles with Column Breaks (Type>Insert Break Character):

Hi @LiseAbrahamsen , You can group the three text frames and keep them aligned to the top of the frame:

I can’t make it work, either. All custom options (beyond Inline) make my three frames overprint horizontally. Dave, what am I missing?

    Lisa:

Is there any chance you can do this in a table?

Have you tried reaching out to EasyCatalog to see what they recommend?

No, as long as prevent manual position is not checked, I moved them manually (Lto-R). I’m assuming this is a template for the database plugin, so one shouldn’t have to move each repetition.

Try changing from inline to custom:

Thank you, but that not works for me.
I want to be able to change the space between the boxes, and some other settings, and for that I use an object style and a paragraph style. I also use a third part tool (EasyCatalog) to merge data, and that tool requires inline object.

I can’t see any reason it would not work for you unless EasyCatalog is interfering with the settings. Upload a sample file that you tried to modify so we can check your settings.
