How to give "section" property to paragraph style

Hello everyone,

In a book I'm working on, the footnotes will start at 1 in each chapter.

 

Can a paragraph style be given a "section" attribute without doing this from "Numbering & Section Options"?

 

The indesign version I'm using is 2022

Make for each chapter a separate file.

Since I don't want to do this, I'm researching if there is such a method.

 

I don't want to set individual sections in every marginal revision of the book, instead, if there was a way to connect the "section" property to the paragraph style, the "section" would automatically change in the footnotes because it would flow with the text in each revision.

 

When you think about it, it is a restrictive situation to be able to do this only from the "pages" menu, I wish such a feature could be given in the text box.
