how to import illustrator artwork into indesign

Hi all.  I need help!  I have vector artwork that I created in Illustrator that I need to place into Indesign in a non tedious manner.  I am creating a medical device manual and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to drag the images (complex artwork...not simple vector images).  I have tried rasterizing from AI and putting into Indesign but its fuzzy.  I have tried making sure my clip/file handling preferences are correct in AI and INDD.  I have tried putting my artwork created in illustrator into CC galleries but it is very pixelated when i place into indesign.  I even tried opening my artwork created in illustrator into photoshop then placeing in indesign and it is STILL Pixelated.  Can someone please help ASAP?!  By the way, I have no need to fully edit the vector graphics I am trying to place/ paste into Indesign all I need to do is place it in the file at a high resolution so it does not look fuzzy!!!
